Water "Battery" Thermal Storage Systems When thinking about a high efficiency gasification boiler system, it is important to install the proper thermal storage tank. These "water batteries" allow the boiler to burn at the full BTU output/max efficieny during the entire burn cycle. We offer two types of thermal storage tanks: 1. Brand new, insulated buffer tanks from Effecta (with optional electric heating equipment). 2. Refurbished propane tanks (500/1000 Gallon) These tanks have been cleaned and pressure tested to 150 PSI and include pipe fittings for boiler in/out, house in/out, top/bottom temperature sensor wells, pressure relief valve, boiler overheat protection, in/out air vent. Tanks are available both with and without 2" of polyurthane spray foam. Typical users use chopped fiberglass insulation also.
